To follow-up on the blog about the Peace Corps experience of Prosperity Candle’s own Siiri Morley, we wanted to share the news that our Peace Corps 50th anniversary candle is now for sale!
We are proud to be teaming up with the National Peace Corps Association to create this candle to commemorate 50 years of Peace Corps Volunteers changing lives. Each candle is a beautiful testimony to Peace Corps’ third goal: Siiri Morley (RPCV Lesotho 2001-2004) — who is also the daughter of Don and Susan Morley (RPCVs Bolivia & Ecuador) – – works every day to “bring the world to America.” By leading Prosperity Candle, a social venture that works to empower women from Haiti, Iraq, Burma and Afghanistan, she is connecting Americans to issues that affect women around the world. Prosperity Candle encourages a new type of relationship between women in the world – one of interconnectedness and respect.
10% of the sale of each candle supports the National Peace Corps Association. Each candle also helps a woman refugee from Burma rebuild her life.
Light a candle to celebrate 50 years of the Peace Corps creating change around the world!
