In Afghanistan, nearly 300,000 people were displaced from their homes between June and August of 2021 after the collapse of the government. This has had a profound impact on healthcare services for Afghan families. In addition to lack of basic medical services, they face continual COVID-19 and other infectious disease exposure from overcrowding in shelters. And as the colder weather settles in, there is the added risk of hypothermia. 

International Medical Corps provides healthcare and lifesaving emergency medical services along with COVID-19 response, mental health support, and essentials like water and sanitation. With extensive experience in the country, they are delivering the critical services Afghan families need.
