We’re a really lucky team. We have so many talented friends who love what we do and generously volunteer their time. One of the most remarkable examples of this was this August when Prosperity Candle had the good fortune of being able to pull together a professional pro bono photo shoot.

Our goal for the photoshoot was to balance the images of the women that we work with with some images of the women who purchase and receive our candles. Prosperity Candle creates a women-to-women connection around the globe that enriches many women’s lives – so we wanted to show the gift-giving side of things. With four beautifully natural and engaging models on board (Brenna, Melina, Jeanne & Monica), two photographers (Ana & Jeff) and a stylist (Rowena), we were ready to go! One warm August evening, we gathered at Ana’s parents home in Newtown, MA, where the magic unfolded.

The models, not surprisingly given their shared values & wonderful personalities, got along beautifully and had natural chemistry on set. Ana, Jeff and Rowena are talented professionals and managed the set up and execution of the shots with grace. In a few short hours, with a big pile of clothing and candles, we had generated a wealth of images for us to use to share our story. More importantly, however, we had a great time together laughing, noshing on hummus and chips and sipping wine.
