Maple Syrup
Stan Zawalik started boiling maple syrup on his parents’ wood stove at ten years old. Encouraged by his father to sell it at local farmers’ markets, Stan steadily grew his business over the next 40 years in Florence, MA. Today he taps 2,600 trees and boils down the sap to make maple syrup, cream and candies, as well as maple lollipops - an enduring kid favorite at local farmers’ markets.
Cider Syrup
Carr's Ciderhouse presses their own organic apples on one of the oldest working presses in New England, along the slopes of Mt. Warner in Hadley. We love it for salad dressings, but it's also delicious in marinades, glazes and pies. Try it with ice cream and soda water, and even in cocktails! Made with Carr's own unique blend of Yarlington Mill, Golden Russet, Kingston Black, Goldrush, and Dabinett apples.
Java Drops
A local favorite, Dean’s Beans Organic Coffee Company located in Orange makes this delectable treat. If you are looking for a quick chocolate and caffeine fix, pop a few of these in your mouth and they will keep you going. Vienna-roasted, shade grown Guatemalan and Mexican coffee beans are hand-dipped in rich dark chocolate. Fair Trade and absolutely delicious!
Olive Oil
To protect a family heritage and avert selling their groves in Calabria, Italy to large companies that often dilute pure olive oil with lesser oils, the three cousins of TRE Olive in East Longmeadow joined together to make single estate, extra virgin, cold press olive oils. Absolutely wonderful... taste the difference!
