Prosperity Candle is a mission.

We aim to empower women in places of conflict and distress to start businesses that can generate more than a living wage – that can truly prosper.

To realize this goal, we employ the most effective tools for sustainable impact: a social enterprise and linked non-profit organization. Our foundation focuses resources from organizations and individuals on helping women in places of conflict and distress. Our business ensures the sustainability of our work, based on a simple model of shared prosperity.

Prosperity Candle Foundation’s mission is to inspire, educate and support women entrepreneurs in places of conflict and natural disaster around the world. We seek to contribute to a global awakening in which women are recognized and valued as vital, empowered participants in creating the foundation for peaceful and prosperous societies.

Through the Foundation’s activities we will empower women as entrepreneurs, facilitate business and entrepreneurship education, assist women-owned enterprises by offering candle-making business kits, training and other forms of support, help candle makers graduate from home-based production to grow their businesses, and implement youth entrepreneurship programs that will inspire the next generation of women entrepreneurs and community leaders.

Would you like to help a woman start her own business?

With this complete “business-in-a-box” a woman receives training from our partner, Women for Women International, and additional support from our foundation to start her own kitchen-based enterprise. She is then is able to make independent decisions about where, how and with whom she wants to build her business.

With your help, the Prosperity Candle Foundation can offer another woman the opportunity to start her own business.
